Three candidates vying to become Utah ’s next governor debated the state's biggest issues during the gubernatorial debate at Salt Lake Community College Wednesday, hosted by the Utah Debate Commission.
The 60-minute debate featured Republican Gov. Spencer Cox, Democratic Rep. Brian King, and Libertarian J. Robert Latham. “So many Utahns are fed up with what the two-party system has to offer. It’s not speaking to them; it’s not giving solutions to them,” Latham said. “As I’ve said, a monopoly on political power doesn’t result in good things for the state of Utah any more than a monopoly in economic power results in good things happening for Utahns,” King said.
