Voters should throw Republicans out with the trash in November.
On Aug. 16, Republicans in Wyoming voted for ignorance over knowledge, lies over truth, corruption over integrity, and dictatorship over democracy. It is one more example of why “GOP” has come to mean “Garbage Of Politics.”
Before the election, I read repeatedly that the GOP in Wyoming was going to reject Liz Cheyney because she somehow doesn’t accurately represent Wyoming values. Now, America knows what Wyoming GOP values really are, and I guess she doesn’t. The values of knowledge, truth, integrity and democracy now are dead and buried by Wyoming’s GOP.
Here in Central Pennsylvania, we also live with a Republican party that is full of election deniers, democracy destroyers, and radicals who rejoice at stripping the freedom to choose from America’s women – and even girls. Congressman Scott Perry is refusing to discuss his leadership role in the insurrection that nearly overthrew our government.
The national platform of the GOP, according to Sen. Rick Scott , includes ending Social Security and Medicare and a host of other outrages that would harm America’s seniors and families. Already, Republicans voted in lock step against improving health care for veterans, re-building the computer chip industry in the US, bringing job-creating broadband to rural communities, dealing with the increasingly devastating effects of climate change, and expanding low-cost health care.
