WINNIPEG — Jack Eichel scored the go-ahead goal with 4:36 remaining and the Vegas Golden Knights defeated the Winnipeg Jets 5-3 on Thursday night.
Jonathan Marchessault, Brett Howden, Alec Martinez and Nicolas Roy, with the late empty-netter, added the others for Vegas .
Alex Iafallo led the way for Winnipeg with two goals, Cole Perfetti scoring the other.The contest was a rematch of the teams' first-round playoff series last season, which the eventual champion Golden Knights won 4-1.
