Markups happen all of the time but are mostly associated with vehicles like the Chevrolet Corvette Z06, the Toyota GR Corolla, and the GMC Hummer EV. It seems that some dealers have no shame about gouging every penny they can from their customers though. Chevrolet dealers across the USA are now asking for up to $10,000 extra for the pleasure of owning a Blazer EV. To a degree, some of this should be expected.
