The number of Covid-19 cases world-wide crossed the 300 million mark, according to Johns Hopkins University
, as the U.S. Supreme Court prepared to hold a special session Friday to consider the Biden administration’s vaccine rules for private employers and healthcare workers.
The global case-number milestone, reached Thursday, has been accelerated by the Omicron variant’s rapid spread. Weekly cases have jumped at the start of this year to almost 10 million from 5.5 million at the end of last month, according to Johns Hopkins.
