Glasgow Labour has claimed many hubs have not been staffed or provided the expected level of support
Glasgow’s roll out of ‘welcome places’ to help residents struggling with soaring energy costs has been “abysmal”, according to the city’s Labour group.and community venues, including libraries and community centres, will be available over the winter to help citizens reduce their heating bills.
A council spokesperson said the scheme is “evolving” and footfall has been increasing despite the current mild weather. “These are emergency provisions to protect our most vulnerable citizens; we need clarity on what is happening.”
