Slotted third among the 11 finalists on vault, Hamann -- who hadn't attempted the tough self-launch atop mats before Saturday -- stood at one end of the runway and exhaled a Category 5 hurricane wind."As I ran," Hamann said,"I didn't hear the crowd.
