Cariboo Hill Secondary School wrestlers Tehya Chew, Rylie Chew and Kai Pare won the 2024 B.C. girls wrestling championships earlier this month.

Three Cariboo Hill Secondary students made school history last month, becoming the first wrestlers in the school's history to win provincials – and the first team from the school to capture a provincial banner in 38 years.

Competing at the PNE forum in Vancouver from Feb. 22 to 24, Cariboo Hill Grade 12 student Tehya Chew won gold in the 69 kilogram weight class; her sister, Grade 9 student Rylie Chew, took gold in the 54 kg class, and Grade 9 student, Kai Pare, took silver in the 57 kg class.
