All-America tight end limps to locker room

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers left Saturday’s game vs. Vanderbilt in the second quarter due to a left ankle injury.
Bowers — widely regarded as the best overall player in the SEC — was injured after carrying the ball for 14 yards on an end around, a play that was called back due to a penalty. He limped away from the play and then sank to one knee, pounding the turf in frustration before being attended to by Bulldogs trainers.
Kirby Smart said x-rays on Brock Bowers were negative, initially looks like a lower ankle sprain, but won’t know for sure until later.A two-time first-team All-SEC pick and a first-team All-American in 2022, Bowers caught four passes for 22 yards and carried the ball twice for 11 yards Saturday prior to his injury. He came into the game with 37 receptions for 545 yards and four touchdowns.
