I in good conscience cannot affiliate myself with a party that stands for nothing and falls for everything.”
Santos's most recent frustration with the GOP appears to stem from Republicans' support of a $1.2 trillion spending package to fund the government and avoid a shutdown. Despite opting not to run as a Republican, Santos says he will remain devoted to his “Ultra MAGA/Trump supporting values" and run as an independent.
The Biden campaign’s “Dark Brandon” account reacted to the announcement by comparing Santos to a drag queen, a jab at Santos's purporteda lawsuit against late night host Jimmy Kimmel for allegedly tricking him to making videos through the Cameo app. Santos sought $750,000 in damages for the five videos he created that were used on the show and its social media accounts.Jackson Walker on X at @_jlwalker_ for the latest trending national news.
