The Ottawa motorcycle community is grieving the loss of 70\u002Dyear\u002Dold Geena Green, who died Sunday in a crash at Calabogie Motorsports Park.

Green was involved in a single-vehicle crash that remains under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police’s Renfrew detachment.A post-mortem examination has been ordered in the case as there’s some suspicion that Green experienced a medical episode before the accident.

“She was a very important and active member of the Ottawa Moto community. She was kind and knowledgeable, and she’ll be greatly missed,” he said. “She was a role model for a lot of female riders.”Article content She remained devoted to the Ducati brand after buying her first bike in 1975 from a shop in Grimsby, Ont.

She was also a member of the Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle Club and a group of bikers, known as Canada’s Capital Bike Social, that would ride to destinations to share coffee, dessert and bike talk.Lincoln Pearce, president of the Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle Club, said Green was a knowledgeable bike enthusiast. “She always liked to share wisdom and stories, but, like a lot motorcycle enthusiasts, she was a little eccentric,” he said.
