The Senators have Josh Norris back from his shoulder surgery last season and Tim Stutzle is coming off a breakout campaign with 90 points. Pinto will give the club depth in the middle and that’s something coach D.J. Smith is counting on. Pinto congratulated defenceman Jake Sanderson on Instagram on Wednesday night after he signed an eight-year, $64.4-million deal. The core — Brady Tkachuk, Stutzle, Norris, Sanderson, Chabot and Drake Batherson — are all now locked up.
