“When I look at the process here, it’s pretty much gone the way I anticipated it would with timing. It’s a question that people have about who the new owners are going to be, but it’s going to be something that’s very positive for the organization moving forward.”
The Senators made a 13-point improvement in the standings, the core is in place, led by captain Brady Tkachuk, and with the right moves in the off-season this club should be in the playoffs next spring. “You always want to be at the front end, and where things are now if you look at the trajectory of this team, from an on-ice perspective we made a 13-point year-over-year improvement this season,” LeBlanc said.
That’s why it’s been full steam ahead for the work that has to be done on the business side of the operation.
