Right before that deal, True Velocity partnered with retailer Bass Pro Shops to sell its ammunition initially in 127 stores across the country and begin a subscription service for hunters and recreational shooters.the Delta P Design acquisition gives it advanced technology that can be reliably used to reduce the flash and sound made by machine guns and other rifles.
True Velocity will look to advance the technology further by pairing it with recoil mitigation technology and weapon system designs like the upcoming .338 Norma Lightweight Medium Machine Gun, according to the company. That machine gun is a result of 12 years of design and development work by General Dynamics Ordnance & Tactical Systems. Lone Star Future Weapons licensed the technology from General Dynamics in 2021, prior to Lone Star being acquired by True Velocity.
Pat Hogan, True Velocity executive vice president of corporate communications, said the company does not have a target date for its plans to go public. “Our mission doesn’t end here. We’re going to continue to evolve and mature as a company,” Hogan said. “I think we have the potential to change the dynamics of the entire ammunition and weapon industry through what we’re bringing to maturation.”
