She added that the control system is the most engineered part of the boat because it requires both mechanical and electronic regulation. The mechanical process is natural as it comes from the waves’ movement while the electronic one is achieved through ultrasonic sensors. “Let's talk about materials because the boat is in large part sustainable because we use a mineral fiber with raisin while the molds are in MDF,” explained Cantalini.
“We wrote a lot of articles and papers about that boat, about the sustainability of the materials and the fact that we can reuse the material after lamination,” said Cantalini.
