The Port of Galveston is getting a fourth Carnival Cruise Line ship that’s set to begin sailing by next fall.is scheduled to move to Galveston from San Francisco on Oct. 1, 2024, the company said. It will offer a series of 19 cruises beginning later that month.shows cruises beginning at an average fare of $700 per person for a two-person room and going to such destinations as Belize, Key West, Cozumel, and others.
Carnival Miracle is a 2,200-guest cruise ship and will have the longest cruises to date among the company’s cruise ships that are docked in Galveston. “By adding a fourth Carnival ship to homeport in Galveston and sailing these longer itineraries, we are giving our guests great new choices, especially for those who want to experience a wider variety of beautiful ports of call and more time to enjoy their time at sea,” Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, said in a press release.
Cruise lines sailing from Galveston have generated significant income for the island in the past, including . Other companies sailing from the port are Disney Cruises, Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
