Large sign with Gabby Petito's image added to makeshift memorial in her honor on corner of Laundrie property
NORTH PORT, Fla. – Brian Laundrie’s attorney Steve Bertolino tore into"America’s Most Wanted" creator John Walsh Thursday, the morning after the longtime TV host aired an ID channel special on the unsolved homicide of the Florida man's former fiancée, Gabby Petito.
Teton County Coroner Dr. Brent Blue announced Tuesday that Petito died by"manual strangulation/throttling," meaning she’d been killed by hand and not with an item like a rope or chain. Brian Laundrie's brother-in-law asked Manatee County deputies for increased patrols in his neighborhood in mid-September after he said his family received alarming threats amid an ongoing manhunt for the Florida fugitive, according to sheriff's records.
Aaron Betzner, a steel fabricator from Indiana, heard about Petito’s tragic death and decided to step up and help pay respects to the young woman. That’s why he is donating his time and craftsmanship to fabricate a steel bench in her honor.
