The fate of the OB Pier is to be decided today in an Active Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meeting. The longest pier on the West Coast, the 60's infrastructure has been subject to emergency repair repeatedly since 2019. More info:

OCEAN BEACH – The future of the Ocean Beach Pier is to be decided on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in an Active Transportation and Infrastructure Committee meeting.

The OB Pier is the longest pier on the West Coast; constructed in 1966, the pier has undergone several structural repairs, including in 2019 and 2021 when storm damage resulted in emergency closure. It has recently been shut down a number of times.
