A cooler than normal start to the weekend for central Indiana. Temperatures topped out in the 50°s, including 54° officially at the Indianapolis International Airport. That is 12° below the normal high for the date.
Widely scattered showers will be possible through mid Saturday evening, after which skies will turn partly cloudy overnight. Temperatures will drop to the lower and middle 30°s early Sunday morning. Winds will stay up, sustained 5-12 mph with occasional gusts to 20 mph. This should help keep frost away. That being said, a Frost Advisory will be in effect Sunday morning for counties over the southern third of the state.
Skies will start out partly cloudy Sunday morning, before turning mostly cloudy to overcast by noon. Once again, widely scattered showers will be possible during the afternoon and in to the evening. Temperatures Sunday will be a several degrees cooler than Saturday. Expect highs to be in the middle 40°s to around 50°.
Skies will clear out late Sunday night in to Monday morning. With high pressure centering over southwestern Indiana, temperatures will likely drop in to the low 30°s Monday morning.
