Friday’s storms could bring tornado, floods, damaging winds to central Pa.

One to 2 inches of rain could accumulate in 30 minutes to an hour Friday.

Forecasters said flooding could occur in low-lying areas, or places with poor drainage. Excessive runoff could flood rivers, streams, creeks and other bodies of water, forecasters said.The afternoon and evening could also experience thunderstorms with damaging winds, moving at 60 mph or more, forecasters said. A short-lived, weak tornado is also possible, according to the NWS.

Saturday has a chance of more showers and storms, but forecasters said the majority of the day will be sunny, with upper 70-degree highs. Forecasters said Sunday will be sunny, with highs in the low 80s. The sunshine will likely continue Monday as temperatures climb into the low 90s.
