People walk around Trinity Skyline trail as drizzly clouds cover part of downtown Dallas skyline on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022 in Dallas, TX, after a winter storm crossed through North Texas.Tuesday is starting off quite chilly across North Texas! Morning lows in the 40s will be common before slowly warming into the 60s later today under sunny skies. The wind will make it feel even more brisk this morning, coming in around 10 to 15 mph.
Even colder temperatures are in the forecast tonight into Wednesday morning. In fact, a Freeze Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday for counties east and north of D-FW. This is much earlier than normal. In fact, typically we don’t see freezing temperatures until the middle of November. If you live in locations north and east of the D-FW metroplex, you may consider protecting plants that you don’t want to lose to freezing temperatures.
The chilly weather won’t last long. By Thursday afternoon, temperatures will be back in the upper 70s. For Friday and the weekend highs will be back into the middle 80s. A chance of showers and thunderstorms returns early next week.
