A group from the First Wolfville Beavers turned out to thank St. George's Lodge No. 20 recently for a decade of hosting the troop. - Wendy ElliottWhen the worshipful master of St. George’s Lodge No. 20 asked his fellow Freemasons who was involved in the Scouting movement as a lad, every man stood up.

The badge gets displayed “on the back of the scouting necker to show the relationship with a supporting organization,” he explained. The colony was around for many years, but a dozen years ago, stopped operating for two seasons due to a shortage of leaders. Each spring, the Beavers and their parents visit a meeting of the Freemasons to say thank-you for the support.
