The Clippers beat the Raptors Wednesday in Los Angeles, but Fred VanVleet had pointed words for referee Ben Taylor.

“So at a certain point as a player you feel it’s personal and it’s never a good place to be. That’s not why we lost tonight, we got outplayed, but it definitely makes it tougher to overcome.”, of VanVleet’s eight technicals, three have been assessed by Taylor with one other coming from another official on a game Taylor was working. Taylor is in his 10th season as an NBA official.
“There’s been a certain times this year where I feel our team is getting consumed with the way the whistle is going,” he said.the way that finished so there was a couple calls earlier that we all disagreed with. Much of that disparity can be attributed to the way the Clippers attacked the rim as opposed to a Toronto offence more perimeter-based but it was factor.
“It’s kind of the way we play, we’re up there somewhere near the top in creating turnovers, it’s part of our style of our defence and our philosophy,” he said before the loss.
