While he cannot talk about spoiler details, he confirms one major change for the character as he returns to Boston for a fresh start.

If they will be colleagues, it makes sense why they are also spending time together after work, the same way Roz Doyle essentially became Frasier's friend in Seattle because they worked together at KACL.
