Francisco Cancino Mexico Spring 2024 collection, runway looks, beauty, models, and reviews.
Francisco Cancino has turned a page. The designer left behind the verses and metaphors that inspired him in past seasons to focus on historical and anthropological research that will propel his brand forward. Cancino explained that his next collections will be centered around four key moments in the history of Mexico City, from its founding to the present.
The brand’s flagship materials: linen, cotton, silk, wool, and leather, were shown in bright primary colors. Cancino’s signature ruffled blouses combined with wide, high-waisted pants, gave life to contemporary looks but with a decidedly Mexican identity. It was further accentuated by a collaboration with the milliner Gladys Tamez, whose designs have been worn by celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Shakira. It was a mix of the new and the known in perfect harmony.
Cancino has embarked on an exciting process of exploration and seeking new ideas. We can only wait to see how his world will develop in the upcoming seasons.
