Fox News hosts on Tuesday slammed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for arguing that young Americans should consider whether they want to give birth to children amid concerns about the potentially catastrophic consequences of climate change, suggesting that the freshman Democrat could be responsible for the the end of civilization.
“Not ‘should I have children,’ which is an individual choice, everybody can choose what they want, but ‘is it okay?,’ that’s putting a moral lens on it,” he commented. “Are you a bad person if you have kids because you’re going to ruin their lives and you’re going to ruin the planet because they’re going to have a carbon footprint that you’re responsible for?”“Eventually, if people stop having children, guess what, none of us are going to be here,” co-host Jillian Mele said.
