Fox Harb’r Resort will hold a job fair on Saturday.Kevin Toth says it looks like it’ll be easier to hire seasonal workers this summer, but only a little easier.“I think the pace is a bit better than it was last year … when we were still coming out of the pandemic, but we’re still finding it challenging, specifically for us in the hospitality field,” said Toth. “The whole industry is finding it difficult.
“This year, we’re finding that food and beverage servers, restaurant servers, is a bit of a challenge, which is a bit of a surprise because it’s a great position. And then our housekeeping colleagues, it’s pretty typical that we’re always looking for great folks who can help us present our guests with a great product, a clean product. Those two in particular are our key focus areas,” Toth said.
Toth said a job fair gives the resort a chance to show candidates the facilities and to meet with potential workers face to face. Typically, workers are a mix of locals and members of families that move to a cottage in the area for the summer.
