A four-storey, 85-unite seniors apartment building on Waterford Bridge Road, part of the Residence at Littledale, will require a Land Use Assessment Report before city council considers rezoning for the proposed project.
Jendore Ltd. applied to the city for a four-storey apartment building with a total of 85 dwelling units on Waterford Bridge Road. Here's what St. John's City Council voted on during the March 21, 2023 meeting and what it means to you:Council voted to provide staff, on a volunteer basis, access to training on the administration of naloxone during an opioid overdose and to ensure the availability and ready access of Nasal Spray kits in City of St. John’s facilities.
Prior to this vote, the sponsorship policy only allowed for the City of St. John’s to provide funding to organizations for events within the city with budgets greater than $100,000. Now, council has the discretion to sponsor smaller events within the city: The city is home to a wide variety of events, festivals and more that range just as widely in size as they do in scope. With this change, it allows the city to provide help to smaller organizations and events hoping to grow in the city.
