Fort Worth police are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver of a car who fatally struck a man in a wheelchair Friday morning.

Police said the man was crossing the street at East Seminary Drive and Evans Avenue about 6:45 a.m. when he was hit by a silver sedan. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he died a short time later. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as 56-year-old William Russell of Houston.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run may contact police at 817-392-3192..
