The accuser, now 27, says the assaults by former Republican Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield started when she was about 15 years old and continued for more than 10 years.
. Chatfield was a teacher at the church and associated Christian school where his father, Rusty Chatfield, was an administrator. The accuser attended both, reports say.that an investigation into the accusations is underway. The complaint originally was filed with the Lansing Police Department before being referred to state police, mlive.com reports.
The lawyer representing the accuser represented several victims of Larry Nassar, the former gymnastics trainer who sexually assaulted several female athletes at Michigan State University. He also is representing several men suing the University of Michigan who say they were sexually assaulted by former trainer Robert Anderson, the Free Press reports.
