Rochester, N.Y. — The former manager of the U.S. post office in Greece has pleaded guilty to using his position to attempt to deal cocaine.
Ralph Minni, 54, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine, and possession of a firearm by an unlawful user of a controlled substance. Prosecutors said Minni, between May 2018 and May 2022, took parcels containing drugs out of the mail stream and into his private office, where he would remove the contents and return the empty packages back into the mail stream — before taking the substances home and redistributing them to others.On three occasions in March and April 2022, Minni distributed cocaine to a co-worker who then snorted it off Minni's desk in front of him, according to prosecutors.
A May 2, 2022 search of Minni's home uncovered approximately 700 grams of cocaine, approximately 40 guns and more than 19,000 rounds of ammunition. He was arrested that day. Police also recovered marijuana from Minni's vehicle. Prosecutors said he planned to take the marijuana home to sell.
