Howard won state titles at Duncanville as a player , assistant coach and head coach . After making back-to-back regional final appearances in 2021 and 2022, Howard was suspended for all of last season by the UIL and Duncanville wasThe Duncanville girls were given a three-year probation, and the girls basketball assistant coaches and then-Duncanville ISD athletic director Dwight Weaver were given public reprimands.
Duncanville ISD announced in February that it was investigating allegations that Howard potentially violated her one-year UIL suspension and written directives from the district., who served as the interim head coach for the nationally ranked Duncanville boys team last season, will take over the girls program. Jason Rogers served as the interim head coach for the Duncanville girls this past season and led the team to a 26-5 record and the District 11-6A title.
