According to multiple reports, Adams was charged in the Superior Court of Clarke County for an incident involving a 21-year-old woman that reportedly happened last Oct. 29. Anderson was arrested then, and had been out on bail, according to USA Today, since Nov. 17. The site reported he was also “barred from the Athens area except for legal matters.” He was also reportedly allowed to return in March for a private workout with an NFL team.
“Adam will plead not guilty to the charge and continue his fight in court to clear his name and reputation,” Sadow said. “Adam once again appeals to the good citizens of Athens-Clarke County to keep an open mind and not prejudge his case.”
