Flemming helped Elizabeth strike first by connecting on a four-yard touchdown pass to Ibn McDaniels in the first quarter. The quarterback later delivered a 21-yard scoring strike to Imad Canty in the second quarter, which helped the Minutement take a 21-13 lead into the half. Elizabeth held onto the lead for the rest of the game.
Flemming finished 13-of-18 for 150 yards with 36 rushing yards. McDaniels, who also ran back a pick-six for a 17-yard touchdown, led Elizabeth’s receivers with five grabs for 59 yards while Canty had three receptions for 68 yards. Jalais Mendoza added a short-yardage rushing touchdown for Elizabeth.
