'Ride the highs and withstand the lows.' Coming off last week's loss to Philadelphia, Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is maintaining an even keel.
“That’s the beautiful thing, right? It’s the first quarter of the season, and we’ve played some really good football early,” he said. “We’ve played not so great at times, too, but there’s so much to build off of, good and bad. To your point, using all that to be more consistent. Ride the highs and withstand the lows.”
The lows? A frustrating loss against the Commanders and a victory that slipped from their grasp against the Eagles. Through four games in 2021, Lawrence had completed just 57% of his passes, with five touchdowns and seven interceptions. This year he's at 65.7% with eight touchdowns and two interceptions. He's also outpacing his yardage, too .
