Jane Galitello, of Port Richey, Florida, was charged with one felony count of battery on a person aged 65 or over.
He said he had been sitting in his recliner in the living watching a movie on Cinemax at around 10 p.m., according to theGalitello happened to walk into the room as a topless woman appeared on the screen, he later told deputies. He said she had grabbed the metal detector and hit him on the head twice with the disc-shaped tool.
She conceded that she may have"accidentally tapped him" with the metal detector but maintained she didn't injure him.
