If the building is within three miles of the coast, the"milestone inspections" would instead begin 25 years after certification. Inspection records must be published online and shared with tenants. Speaking on the floor, Geller shared the story of close friends who survived the collapse. One family, he said, was lifted out of their apartment by a cherry picker.
News of the bill's passage comes only days after a judge ruled that condo owners who survived the collapse will share aThe cause of the collapse remains unknown, although the building was in the midst of an inspection and engineers had pointed out serious structural flaws.
