The actress made an entrance at the British Independent Film Awards in a pink slip and tulle cape.
Pugh spoke about the now viral appearance in an interview for, explaining that she and Valentino's creative director, Pierpaolo Piccioli, decided together to remove the inner lining of the dress. "I was comfortable with my small breasts," she said. "And showing them like that—it aggravated [people] that I was comfortable.
