Nobody was harmed in the fire that fire department officials said had the potential to spread down the row of houses on Susquehanna Street.

Nobody was harmed at a fire that was knocked down within 15 minutes Wednesday night on Susquehanna Street in Harrisburg, according to Brian Enterline, Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Department Chief.Nobody was harmed in a house fire that occurred in an illegally occupied building that is condemned in Harrisburg Wednesday night.

The fire, which was called in at around 9 p.m. at the 1800 block of Susquehanna Street, was knocked down within 15 minutes, according to Harrisburg Bureau of Fire Chief Brian Enterline.Enterline explained the fire began on the second floor of 1843 Susquehanna Street, and spread to 271 Muench Street. Because of the wind and spread of the flames, the row of around 10 homes on Susquehanna Street were at risk of catching on fire too.

Enterline said the Muench Street property remains occupiable, while the Susquehanna Street property is uninhabitable. 1843 Susquehanna Street was being illegally occupied as a boarding house and is condemned, according to Enterline.
