Those include the highest opening weekend ever for a Blumhouse movie, as it could best the $76 million made by 2018’s Halloween. It’s also looking like it might take the best opening for a movie on Halloween weekend too. It’s already the most successful opening for a horror movie in 2023 and will be one of the best openings for a video game adaptation. Certainly, it’s the best for a horror video game adaptation.
The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be easy to make it through., Piper Rubio, Kat Conner Sterling, Mary Stuart Masterson, Lucas Grant, and Jessica Blackmore. The screenplay comes from Tammi, Seth Cuddeback, and, the latter of whom created the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. Cawthon and Jason Blum both serve as producers.
