New EV brand Vinfast plans a five-model lineup for the U.S. market.
, but less than five years on the company has already made the switch to electric vehicles and is weeks out from delivering its first vehicles to U.S. customers.
The 999 VF 8s are the first batch of more than 65,000 orders from customers outside of Vietnam. Exports to other markets, including Canada and Europe, are scheduled to begin in early 2023, Vinfast said. That's also when Vinfast will start exports of its full-size VF 9 electric SUV.
