Fireworks greenlit for Monday’s Civic Holiday

Monday, Aug. 7, has been declared an additional permitted day to discharge fireworks in the City of Greater Sudbury

Greater Sudbury Fire Services has declared Monday, Aug. 7 an additional permitted day to discharge fireworks.

Fireworks are typically allowed only on five days of each year, including Family Day, Victoria Day, Canada Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. On that day, fireworks can be legally discharged on private property without prior approval from the city, with approval from the property owner.
