Developers hope to build a 12-storey, 160-unit rental tower in the final step to revitalize the former Times Colonist building property.

Housing Analyst Leo Spalteholz spoke with CHEK News after the numbers were released, saying measures should be taken to mitigate rising rent costs. The design plans also show a bike storage room on the ground floor of the building, which the developer says will “improve the ecological fit of the project,” providing a “sustainable approach to urban growth.”
