“I want to thank the Prime Minister for approaching my situation as a challenge to be addressed and solved, rather than as a choice to be made between family or public service,” she said. Over the summer, Trudeau’s government has been plagued by operational problems at airports and struggles with basic government services like passports, but Trudeau left all of those ministers in place Wednesday.
“It’s been less than a year since the last election. Our government is working extremely hard,” he said. “Our government is focused on working every single day to be there to support Canadians through this difficult time and that’s the hard work we’re going to continue to do.”
