The addition of the Spirit of Vancouver Island to the schedule allowed for three extra sailings, after two morning sailing cancellations
The Spirit of Vancouver Island was brought back into service Wednesday, a day earlier than expected, after two sailings on the Swartz Bay-Tsawwassen run were cancelled due to crew shortages.
The addition of the Spirit of Vancouver Island to the schedule allowed for three extra sailings, at noon and 4 p.m. from Tsawwassen and at 2 p.m. from Swartz Bay. The vessel is set to resume regular operation at 7 a.m. Thursday. “We require a specific number of crew members on board our vessels to ensure the safety of our passengers in the unlikely event of an emergency and to comply with Transport Canada regulations.”
