The prosecutor pointed out Dorsey is likely to face a longer federal sentence than if prosecuted in county court where he is charged from the same Aug. 30 incident with firearms, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest and escape counts. The state charges stem from Dorsey being in possession of a loaded handgun, identified in the indictment handed up Thursday as a Smith & Weston 9mm pistol.
