Kukagami Lake Rd. is getting the upgrades as municipality hopes for future industrial development in the area
FedNor has pledged $612,000 toward upgrading water infrastructure along Kukagami Lake Road in the Municipality of Markstay-Warren, 40 kilometres east of Sudbury.
“This is an investment in the future of the Municipality of Markstay-Warren, the Nickel Belt region and all of Northern Ontario,” Nickel Belt Liberal MP Marc Serré said in a media release. The project will allow the municipality to run the existing water main underground approximately 600 metres along Kukagami Lake Road from Highway 17 and provide access to a reliable water source needed for future business expansion plans.
