A federal investigation is now underway at Soldiers' Home in Holyoke, Massachusetts, where more than two-dozen veterans have died and management has been accused of failing to protect residents and staff amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Massachusetts and the Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division announced the joint investigation on Friday.care facility for veterans,"violated the rights of residents by failing to provide them adequate medical care generally, and during the coronavirus pandemic," according to a statement.
