Just before addressing reporters on Friday, Federico Bernardeschi’s interpreter complained about how cold the media room was at the BMO Training Ground.
Bernardeschi laughed when asked how his first winter in T.O. went.
Since signing with TFC from Serie A side Juventus last summer, Bernardeschi has been on a tear, scoring eight goals in 13 MLS regular season games last year while adding two in as many matches this year. However, the Italian international said he’ll be happier once TFC starts winning. “I think this year we have a big team with big guys, personality guys and for sure, men” he added. “We have a lot of men inside the locker room and this is very important for the season because I think maybe last season, maybe the roster was a little bit young, no? And the young players need experience. They need to improve without pressure. But experienced players, they have an experience to the pressure. This is important for the team.
