Anthony Fauci said recent studies show hydroxychloroquine, a drug touted by Trump, isn’t an effective treatment for Covid-19 and could harm some patients. He also said officials should 'reserve judgment' about holding political party conventions in August.
“I’m not so sure it should be banned, but clearly the scientific data is really quite evident now about the lack of efficacy for it,” he said Wednesday during a CNN interview, warning of the risk of “adverse effects.
